Enlisted Dec 26, 1917 at Ft. McDowell; transferred to Camp Meade, Camp Laurel and Camp Glenburnie; first entered Co. M, 23rd Engineers.

Mustered out Jun 24, 1919, from Co. M, 23rd Engineers.

In France Apr 13, 1918; member of Co. M, 23rd Engineers. Took part in battle of Meuse-Argonne.
