Born Nov 23, 1888 at Cherokee, IA.

Son of John and Martha McCoy.

Entered service July 25, 1918.

Entered Camp Merritt; first entered Co. C, 4th Replacement Inf. In France Sep 12, 1918; member of Co. I, 305th Inf., 77th Div; took part in the battles of Meuse and Argonne Forest.

Mustered out May 18, 1919 from Co. I, 305th Inf.
