Born Dec. 6, 1891, in Chelsea, Iowa.

Son of Frank and Josephine Kasal.

Entered service July 25, 1918; entered Camp Gordon; first entered Co. C, 4th Inf. Repl. Reg.

In France Sept. 12, 1918; member of Co. K, 163rd Inf., 316th Reg., 158th Brigade, 79th Div.

Killed Nov 4, 1918, east of Meuse and north of Verdun.
