KAHLER, Herbert B.

Born Oct 1, 1894 at Traer, IA.

Son of Marcus and Lena Kahler.

Entered service Feb 24, 1918, Camp Dodge; transferred to Camp Mills; first entered Co. B, 338th Machine Gun Bn.; transferred to Co. E, 139th Inf.

Mustered out April 28, 1919 from Hdq. Troop, 5th Army Corps. In the battles of Vosges Sector, St. Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne. Corporal.
