Son of Theodore A. and Rebecca I. Hoag.

Entered service Sep 22, 1917, Camp Funston; first entered Co. A, 340th M.G. Bn.

Mustered out Feb 14, 1919 from 7th Co., 163rd Depot Brigade.

In France Jun 21, 1918; member of Hdqrs. Co., 340th M.G. Bn., 89th Div.

In battles of St. Mihiel and Theaucourt. Wounded by mustard gas in eyes, lungs and on body.
