Son of Earnest E. and Blanche Harlan.

Enlisted Jul 1, 1918 at Cedar Rapids, IA.

Entered Jefferson Barracks; transferred to Camp Joseph E. Johnston; first entered Receiving Co. 14.

Mustered out Sep 28, 1919 from M.T.C.R.N. 328.

In France Sep 8, 1918; member of 2nd Army corps. R.N. 328 was cited for bravery.

Sergeant.
