Son of Frank and Barbara Hanus.

Entered service Sep 4, 1918, Camp Dodge; transferred to Camp Shelby; first entered 163rd Depot Brigade, 12 Bn., Co. 47.

Mustered out Dec 18, 1918, from Base Hospital 130.
