EVANS, Wayne T.
Born March 3, 1894 in Wayne County, Nebraska.
Son of Thomas E. and Annie Evans.
Enlisted May 1, 1917 at Jefferson Barracks.
Entered Jefferson Bks; transferred to Ft. Totten; first entered Co. H, 6th Reg.
Mustered out may 1919 from Co. B, 44th Howitzer Reg., C.A.C.
In France Aug 2, 1917; member 15th Div. In battles of Chateau Thierry, Somme, St. Mihiel, Argonne, Voges Sector, Meuse Sector. Co. A and B, 44th Howitzers obtained two citations for work with 4th French Army in German drive on Paris, April 1918.
