Enlisted in US Naval Reserve on Feb 5, 1942

Training in US: Great Lakes, IL; Quonset Point, RI; Norfolk, VA; New York, NY.

Left for Sea Duty: Apr 1, 1943. Overseas Bases: Newfoundland, England, France, Africa, Italy, Bermuda, Panama, New Guinea, Borneo, Phippine Islands. Served with crew on USS Pinto (Navy Fleet Tug), USS General Moffitt (Troop Transport).

Engagements: Invasion of Normandy, Jun 6, 1944; Southern France, Aug 15, 1944; Borneo, Jun 10, 1945.

Medals-Ribbons: Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Good Conduct, Aemrican Theater, European Theater, Asiatic Theater, Philippine Liberation.

Returned to US: Transfferred from China Sea Patrol to US, Aug 30, 1945; Seattle, WA, Oct 10, 1945.

Discharged: Minneapolis, MN on Dec 12, 1945.
