Sent into Combat: Jan 10, 1944; went aboard USS New Mexico

Engagements: Marshall Islands, Bismark Archipelago, Mariannas Islands (Saipan, Tinian, Guam, Rota), Leyte, Luzon, Okinawa. In first group of ships to occupy Tokyo Harbor.

Medals-Ribbons: 6 Battle Stars

Returned to US: From Tokoyo, Japan on Sep 9, 1945 into Boston, MA on Oct 17, 1945.
