Left for Overseas: Camp Shanks, NY, June 16, 1944; arrived Glasgow, Scotland on June 22, 1944.

Training Overseas: Liverpool, England, June 23-29. Assigned 79th Inf., 313th Reg., Co. G, 7th Depot Repair Sq., Germany, Hq. Air Sv. Grp. 44, A.D. , 92nd Air Sv. Grp.

Sent to Front: July 2, 1944, with 79th Inf., 313 Reg., Co. G

Engagements: Participated in 2 major campaigns as rifleman with 79h Inf. Div., St. Lo, Cherbourg and Paris, France.

Wounded twice: first time shrapnel, second time machine gun fire.

Hospitalized Overseas: Paris, Cherbourg and several others, then sent to England for 3 months.

Medals-Ribbons: EAME Ribbon with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, Victory, Army of Occupation (Germany), Good Conduct, Purple Heart, Inf. Badge.

Returned to US: Bremerhaven, Germany on November 14, 1946 into New York on November 28, 1946.
