Left for Overseas: January 12, 1944; arrived Marshall Islands. Assigned 4th Div., 3-25th

Sent to Front: January, 1945, Heavy Weapons Co. 25th

Engagements: Marshalls Campaign, January 1945; Marianas, June, 1945. Wounded: Saipan, June 22, 1945 Hospitalized Overseas for 2 months in Honolulu, T.H.

Medals-Ribbons: Asiatic-Pacific, 2 Purple Hearts (one with Gold Star), Silver Star Medal

Rating: Captain, July, 1945

Body returned to US and laid to rest April 19, 1948 in Buckingham Cemetery, Traer, IA.
