DEATH OF MRS. CHAS. SAWTELL

Mrs. Charles Sawtell, 57, died at her home in Ames Friday evening, after a long and continued illness.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Colo, Monday afternoon at 2:00, after which interment was in the Colo cemetery.

Mrs. Sawtell, whose maiden name was Mary Morgan, was a native of Story county, having been born in Colo, March 11, 1874, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Morgan, and at the time of her death, her age was 57 years, 1 month and 6 days.

She was united in marriage to Charles Sawtell of Colo in 1893 and their home had always been in Story county, of later years having been on a farm north of Ames. A few months ago they moved into Ames, leaving the farm because of the illness of Mrs. Sawtell.

She leaves her husband, three daughters and one son. The daughters are are Mrs. Fred Schickell of near Ames, Mrs. Mary Bloomberg of near Nevada, and Mrs. Ruby Wilkins of near Nevada. The son is Harry Sawtell of Ames.

She also leaves four sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mrs. Ida Talbott of Nevada, Mrs. Anna Allen of Zearing, Mrs. Cora Bales and Mrs. Jennie Perry of Colo, While the brother is William Morgan of Scranton.

Being a member of one of the pioneer families of the community, Mrs. Sawtell was well known and most favorably known in and around Colo.
