THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, February 19, 2006.

Lyle William Cadman, 87, formerly of Nevada, passed away Feb. 15, 2006, at the Afton Care Center from a long illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in the Ames Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Lyle was born Aug. 18, 1918, in Moville, the son of Leonard and Anna (Fulton) Cadman. He was united in marriage to Eva Warren on March 30, 1940, in Bethany, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the Army.

Lyle was a mechanic. He was a member of the Nevada Baptist Church and a former member of the American Legion Post No. 48 of Nevada. He enjoyed woodworking. He and Eva moved to Creston, in 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Eva, of Creston; two sons, Edward Cadman of Nevada and Michael Cadman of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two daughters, Clareen Wood and Jean Swanson both of Creston; 15 grandchildren and many great- and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three granddaughters, Lyla, Eva and DeAnn; five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Nevada Baptist Church Building Fund. Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
