Marion James Hennick

Army Veteran and Retired Employee of Firestone Tire Co.
April 21, 1939 - Jan 9, 1989

Marion James Hennick, 49, of Maxwell, died of cancer, Monday, Jan. 9, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Friday Jan. 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell. The Rev. Bill Poland will officiate. Burial will be in the Maxwell Cemetery.
Marion James Hennick was born to Roy and Dorothy (Warrell) Hennick in Maxwell. He married Sherry Wilke on Feb. 28, 1987, in Dubuque.
He was a United States veteran and lifetime resident of Story County. He was retired employee of Firestone Tire Co.: he served 21 years on the Cambridge Fire Department, with eight of them as Fire Chief: and also was a member of The United Rubber Workers of America Union , Local 310 AFL-CIO.
He is servived by his wife Sherry Hennick; two sons Dean of Forest City and Dale of Cambridge; one stepson Gene Stowe of Huxley; one stepdaughter, Tammy Stowe of Huxley; two sisters Linda Robertson of Maxwell, Norma Hollander of Tripoil; three brothers Milton of Indianola, Norman of Ankeny and Robert of Rhodes; three grandchildren.
