THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, January 18, 2006.

Betty Jean Morrison, 82, of Ames, died Monday, Jan. 16, at her home peacefully in her sleep. Memorial services are planned for this spring at First Assembly of God in Ames. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Betty J. Morrison was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Dayton, the daughter of Arnold F. Paul and Florence A. Stoner. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1941. She was administrative secretary for the superintendent of Ames Community Schools and also worked as secretary to the principal at Roosevelt Elementary School. She also worked as secretary for administrative services at the University of Iowa. She married Robert L. Morrison Jan. 25, 1945 in Fresno, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. of Ames; and four sons, Robert, Richard (Maxine) and Ronald, all of Ames, and Brian of Iowa City; two daughters, Sandra (Wayne Cleveland) of Iowa City and Caroline of Ames; one brother, Donald of Stratford; six grandchildren, two nephews and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Jerrold Paul.
All her family and friends will miss her gentle, quiet and loving spirit.
