THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 12, 2006.

Louise Hirdman, 98, of Story City, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Bethany Manor in Story City.

Louise was born Sept. 18, 1907, in Story City to Lewis and Evelena (Henderson) Ponsness. She married David Hirdman. He preceded her in death. She worked as a nurse for many years at Story City Hospital and at Bethany Manor. She was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two sons, Paul of St. Paul, Minn., and Roger of Story City; and one daughter, Nola Hirdman of Story City.

Burial will be at a later date in Mamrelund Cemetery near Randall.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
