Vera Lee Moore, 78, 6365 510th Ave., Ames, died September 26 at her home. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. at Gilbert Evangelical Free Church in Gilbert with burial following at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
She was born on August 14, 1922 to Guy G. and Ophelia (Carter) Robertson in Lucerne, MO. She was a resident of Story City for fifteen years and a resident of Ames for thirty two years. She was married to Otto Francis Moore on August 12, 1939 in Trenton, MO by Judge John G. Perry. She was a member of Gilbert Evangelical Free Church in Gilbert. She was an Element Technician with Bourns Laboratories, Inc., and retired in April of 1988.
She is survived by four daughters, Rose M. Prather, New Hampton, MO; Mary F. Gyuresik, Huxley; Nancy Ann Prather, Colo; Kathy A. Hein, Boone; two sons, Robert T. Moore, Amarillo, TX; James E. Moore, Nevada; a daughter-in-law, Karla A. Moore, Ames; twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren; a sister, Twyla M. Watson, Story City and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; a son, Richard W. Moore; a brother, James G. Robertson.
