Olive S. Lee
Olive S. Lee, 98, Huxley, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1992, of heart failure at Bethany Manor Nursing Home, Story City. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 30, 1992, at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kelley. Burial was in Gilbert Cemetery, Gilbert.
Olive Jensen was born in Haugesund, Norway, in 1893, to Jakob and Olive (Grinde) Jensen. She was baptized and confirmed in a Lutheran church in Haugesund, Norway and came to Story City in 1912. On July 20, 1913, she married Talard T. Lee. In 1939, she moved to the Huxley area, where she worked as a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Thelma Walker of Ames, Helen Soderstrum of Kelley and Ruth Larson of Huxley; two sons, Donald and Leonard Lee, both of Huxley; three brothers, Jacob and John Jensen, both of Norway, and Alfred Jacobson of Portland, Oregon; and two sisters, Anna Rasmussen and Synnova Askelson, both of Norway.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
