THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, December 13, 2005.

Keith Allen Niemand, 46, of Brainerd, Minn., died Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in Nevada Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating.

Keith was born April 20, 1959, in Nevada to Jack and Sheryl (Smith) Niemand. He was a 1977 graduate of Nevada High School. He married Ravynne Watchman in Las Vegas. He owned a dry walling business. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved to fish.

He is survived by his wife, Ravynne Niemand of Brainerd, Minn.; his father, Jack Niemand of Vernal, Utah; his mother Sheryl Niemand of Mesa, Ariz.; one son, Keenan Niemand of Brainerd; one daughter, Jennifer Smith of Pequot Lakes, Minn.; grandmother, Bonnie Smith of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Karl Niemand of Mesa, Ariz. and Kevin Niemand of Nashville, Tenn.; and one sister, Teresa Niemand of Mesa, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lester Smith on May 29, 2004; an aunt Leslie Wilkening, and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Niemand.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

A memorial fund has been established.
