ELVA (YOUNG) ADAMSON

Elva (Young) Adamson, 90, of Nevada, IA, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1986, at Long Term Care, Story County Hospital, Nevada. She had been ill the past two years.

Mrs. Adamson was born Oct. 18, 1895, in Story County IA to Fred and Carrie Huffman, and lived here her entire lifetime.

Survivors include a son, Dale Lloyd Young of Phoenix AZ; two daughters, Evelyn (Mrs. Homer) Thomas of Nevada and Dorothy (Mrs. Harry) Alexander of Phoenix AZ, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, and a sister, Nora Emerson Evans of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, an infant daughter, her first husband, Lloyd Young, who died in 1935, and her second husband, Foster Adamson, who died in 1951.

Mrs. Adamson was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will beheld from Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, Wednesday, Aug 6, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. William Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call at the mortuary Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 where the family will greet friends.
