Death Saturday Of Mrs. Anna Johnson; Funeral Tuesday
Mrs. Anna M. Johnson, 65, resident of Nevada for the past 50 years, died at the Story County hospital, Saturday, Dec. 27, at 1 p.m. where she had been a patient for twelve days following a cerebral hemorrhage.
Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E. P. Windman officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery by the side of her husband who precede her in death 29 years ago.
The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral home until the time of service.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Salina, Kansas, a daughter of John K. and Christina Johnson, April 23, 1887.
On Jan. 8, 1908, she was united in marriage to Fred Christian Johnson in Nevada. She was a member of the Lutheran church and of the V.F.W. Auxiliary to Story County V.F.W. Post 2209.
Two sons and two daughters survive the mother. They are Morris Johnson and Carl Johnson of Nevada, Marie, Mrs. Art Stoeffler of Nevada, and Pauline, Mrs. Robert Airhart, of Ames.
She is also survived by six brothers, Knut and Elmer Johnson of Ames, Martin, Nels, Dave and Hans, all of Salina, Kansas and four grandchildren, Karen and Roslie Airhart of Ames and Freddie and Jimmie Stoeffler of Nevada.
