Myrtle Olson

Myrtle Olson, 92, of Tomball, Texas died Friday, Dec. 17, 1993 of heart failure at Willowbrook Care Center in Houston, Texas. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City with Rev. John Wogsland officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

Myrtle Townswick, the daughter of Lewis and Mamie (Hermanson) Townswick, was born Nov. 24, 1901 near Story City. She married Herman Olson in 1924. They farmed near Story City until 1966, when they moved into Story City. They were caretakers at Riverside Bible Camp for nine years from 1965 to 1974. Herman died in 1978. Myrtle moved to Tomball 10 years ago.

Immediate survivors include one daughter, Idellys Anderson of Tomball; one son, Joe Campbell of Bondurant; one sister, Ethel Emmons of Rochester, Minnesota; two brothers, Jeffrey Townswick of Story City and Richard Townswick of Lakewood, California; seven grandchildren, Joe Campbell, Jr. of Madrid, Iowa, David Campbell of Lafayette, Indiana, Tammy Apodaca and Kim Campbell of Bondurant, Bruce Anderson of Arlington, Texas, Mary Hagberg and Julie Anderson of Tomball; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church or Riverside Bible Camp near Story City.
