Dorothy Mussehl
Dorothy Caroline Jurgens was born November 21, 1925 at Latimer to Jerry C. and Caroline Jurgens. She graduated from Central College, Pella, in 1947. She taught vocal music at Greene, Belle Plaine and Ellsworth. On August 3, 1949, she was married to Milton D. Mussehl.
She was a piano teacher and an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church Women and a member of P.E.O.
Survivors include her husband, Milton; two daughter Jean Waldron, Brighton, Colo. and Kristin Twedt, Roland; two sisters, Ruth Albers, Latimer, and Margaret Rupert, Northwood; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 10, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City. The Revs. Orville Sanderson and Stephen Anenson were in charge. Janet Olson, organist, accompanied the congregation with the hymns, "This is my Father's World," "Joyful, Joyful" and "All Creature of Our God and King."
Casket bearers were William Larson, Richard Munsen, John Adduci, Darrell Koenen, Gary Koenen and Dale Rodell. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
