Ragnhild Hordvei Jacobson
Ragnhild Hordvei Jacobson, 103, of Story City died of heart failure Friday, Dec. 31, 1993 at Bethany Manor Nurding Home in Story City, where she was a resident for 20 years. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4 at Bethany Manor Chapel, with Rev. Ron Feuerhak and Rev. Rolfe Johnstad officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.
Ragnhild was born Oct. 18, 1890 in Skoonevik, Norway, the daughter of Gulik and Christine Hondvei. She came to the United States in 1909, and had resided in Story City since that time. She married Annas Jacobson on Feb. 15, 1913. She was a homemaker and member of St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City.
Survivor include two daughters, Ruth Maness of Salinas, California and Constance Quail of San Francisco, California; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons, Arnold Jacobson and James Ewing.
