Ruth Charlier

Ruth Marie Charlier, 54, Story City, died at her home Sunday afternoon, Oct. 13, 1985. She was born Feb. 18, 1931 in Poweshiek County to William F. and Marie (Peterson) Miller. She married John Charlier on June 24, 1949. They resided near Melbourne until 1952 when they moved to Quakerdale Home. They moved to Story City in 1958.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Beckman officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband John; two sons, James, Tallahassee, Fla., and Bruce, Berwick; three daughters, Barbara M. Meyer, Newton; Marjorie Charlier, Chicago, Ill., and R. Renee' Amenson, Kingland, Ga.; four granddaughters; four sisters, Helen Renaud, Grinnell, Dorothy Lanning, Marshalltown, Margaret Williams, Hudson and Wilma Smith, Gilman.

Preceding her in death were her father and one sister, Letha Scott.
