"FORMER RESIDENT LAID TO REST

Mrs. Severt L. Hammersland Buried in Roland Cemetery

Funderal services were held Friday afternoon at Vincent for Mrs. Severt Hammersland, formerly of this place, who passed away early Monday morning, June 2, at her home at Vincent. The services were held at the Lutheran church at Vincent with Rev. B. A. Olson in charge. The church was filled to overflowing by relatives and friends who came to pay their last respects to the deceased, and an amplifying system was used for the benefit of the large number of people in the basement of the church and outside.

Mrs. 0. N. Sieverson of Badger, a personal friend of the family, sang two solos, "Thy Life Was Given for Me," before the sermon, and "A Few More Years Shall Roll," after the sermon.

Following the services at Vincent, the remains were brought to Roland, where a short service was held at the Roland cemetery. Mrs. Sievarson sang a solo, "Come Ye Disconsolate," after which Rev. G. O. Paulsrud of Randall spoke a few words, and Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Boyd sang a duet. The remains were viewed by a large number of relatives and friends who had gathered at the cemetery, after which
burial was made.

All of her children were present at the funeral, with the exception of Annette, who is residing at Hilo, Hawaii, where she is engaged as a nurse by the Hilo Sugar Company. She had intended to come home for the funeral but was unable to book passage on the airplane out of Honolulu.

Among those from here in attendance at the services were Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Michaelson, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Michaelson, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Jacobson and Thomas, Mrs. S. Peterson, Mrs. T. I. Sampson, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tjelmeland, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Eggland, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Olson, Henry S. Boyd, Mrs. Carrie Harnden, A. M. Michaelson, M. 0. Rod and P. O. Hammersland.

The pall bearers were six nephews of the deceased, Kent Boyd, Grant Eggland, J. E. Michaelson, A. M. Michaelson, Boyd Michaelson and Andrew Tjelmeland. A large number of friends of the family from Vincent accompanied the funeral procession to Roland.
