OBITUARIES

VIVIAN RUBY SHELDAHL

Vivian Ruby Sheldahl, the daughter of Matilda and Howard Sheldahl, was born on a farm near Huxley, July 10, 1921, and passed away to her final rest, February 25, 1940, at the age of 18 years, 7 months and 15 days.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Palestine Lutheran church at Huxley. She attended the public schools at Huxley, Alleman and Story City high school with the class of 1938.

Vivian, with her parents, became a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church at Story City two years ago.

She was a most kind and loving daughter, with a cheerful disposition which endeared her to those who came to know her.

She leaves to mourn her untimely death, her parents, six brothers and sisters, namely: Joan Tracy of Maxwell, Everett Sheldahl of Elkhart, Esther Brown of Huxley, Hubert, Helen and David, who are at home besides two nephews, one niece, an aged grandmother, Mrs. Isabel Sheldahl and friends and relatives. One sister, Amanda, preceded her in death.

Some day we shall reach the summerland
Some sweet by and bye,
We shall press the golden strand,
Oh, the loved ones watching there,
By the tree of life so fair.
Till we come their joy to share.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Vivian Sheldahl died in a "terrible automobile collision on the Lincoln highway east of Ames..." Vivian was "so badly injured she died at the Ames hospital a few hours after the accident from shock and loss of blood."
