His parents were Cornelius and Inger Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Bergen Lutheran church at Roland by Rev. C. B. Jacobson.
In 1895 he was united in marriage to Betsy Hegland and to this union 11 children were born, one of whom, Harvey, died at the age of 17 years. He has been failing in health for many years, which left him in a weakened condition, and on June 1 he suffered a heart attack and passed away. During his last days he was well aware that the end was near and prayed for the salvation of his soul.
The funeral was held Thursday morning, June 4, at the Lutheran church at Thompson, and the remains were brot to the Roland cemetery, where he was laid to rest beside his son Harvey.
