OBITUARY

MRS. THORSON REACHED RIPE OLD AGE

Inger Severeide Thorson was born in Severeide, Norway, December 4, 1847, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Hovland, on April 1, 1933, at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 28 days.

Her parents were Lars and Ragnild Severeide. She was married to Peder Thorson in June, 1870, and to this union 12 children were born; four preceded her in death.

They immigrated to America in June, 1885, and lived in Illinois about 20 years, when they moved to Story City, where they made their home the remainder of the time. Her husband died August 31, 1911.

The surviving children are: Rev. L. O. Thorson, Inwood; Eric of Calamus; Elmer of Kanawha; Mrs. Oliver Thompson of Paxton, Ill.; Mrs. O. Thompson of Jewell; Peter of Zearing, and Mrs. Henry Hovland and Mrs. Nels Hermanson of Story City. She also leaves 22 grand children and 18 great grand children.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. T. T. Heimarck conducting the services. Rev. Thorson spoke a few words in memory of his mother, and her grand daughter, Mrs. John Brattebo of Ellsworth sang "Taenk naar Engang." The pall bearers were her grand sons.

Besides the beautiful flowers given, $10.75 was sent to the missions in her memory.

Jacobson of Kanawha, Mrs. E. L. Severeide of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Severeide and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Severeide of Huxley, Joseph Severeide of Boone, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Brattebo and family of Ellsworth.
