FALL FROM ROOF PROVES FATAL

William Williamson Died from Injuries Received Eight Weeks Ago at Graettinger

William Williamson passed away Monday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. W. C. Spencer, on south Pennsylvania avenue. He was brought to the Spencer home about four weeks ago, suffering from an injured spine. It was evident to the doctors that he had small chance of recovery, as gangrene had already set in when he was brought here.

Mr. Williamson fell off his barn while re-shingling the same on his farm near Graettinger about two months ago. He was taken to the hospital at Estherville, where he remained a month. Seeing that nothing could be done for him, his sister, Mrs. Spencer, had him brot to her home here in order that she might do the best possible for him.

Mr. Williamson was a son of Knute Williamson. He was born in Clinton county 63 years ago last May 8, and came to Story county with his parents when he was five years old. He grew to manhood here, and then moved to Graettinger 27 years ago, buying and operating a large farm near that place. He never married.

He leaves to mourn his death a brother, L. O. Williamson, two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Spencer and Mrs. P. A. Peterson, and his stepmother, Mrs. Knute Williamson.

Funeral services were conducted in the St. Petri church, Rev. Andersen officiating. The interment was made in the South St. Petri cemetery.
