Evelyn Marie Holle, 77, of McCallsburg, passed away Monday, October 24 at Israel Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg. Burial will be in Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg.

Evelyn was born August 26, 1928 in Garden City, IA. She was the daughter of Benno and Agnes Schulenburg. Evelyn graduated from high school in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She married Floyd A. Holle on December 14, 1946 in Blue Earth, where they farmed and had dairy cattle. They moved to McCallsburg in 1956 and farmed west of town. She worked at Donnelley's in Nevada for many years and was also a homemaker, mom and grandma. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 334, where she held several offices

She is survived by one son, Larry (Dorine) Holle of Adel; three daughters, Gail (Jim) Stecker of Gilbert, Kathryn Belieu of Des Moines and Yvonne (Harlan) Borton of McCallsburg; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one brother Chuck (Ruth) Schulenburg of Huntley, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd, her parents Benno & Agnes Schulenburg, one sister, Kay Beise of Mapleton, Minnesota and one brother, Leo Schulenburg of Hampstad, North Carolina.

Visitation with the family present will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is in charge of arrangements.
