THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, October 26, 2005.

Erminie "Emsy" (Kramer) Robichaux, 91, widow of Woodrow "Pete" Robichaux, of Brightview at Baldwin Park in Staunton, Va., died Sunday, Oct. 23, at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, Va.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1914, in Franklin, La., the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Sawyer) Kramer. Mrs. Robichaux was a devoted mother and caregiver to her three children, whom she adopted following the untimely death of her sister, Nell, and brother-in-law, Frederick Louis Wohn.

Prior to moving to Staunton, she was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Franklin, La., for more than 50 years, where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Women's Group and Altar Guild, for which she served as chairperson for many years. She volunteered at Franklin Foundation Hospital for more than 30 years, during which time she was manager of the hospital gift shop. She was a founding member of the Franklin Republican Women's Club.

Family members include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Fred Kramer Wohn and Doris Jean Wohn of Ames, and Robert James Wohn of Cedar Rapids; one son-in-law, Hal Aaslestad and his wife, Peggy, of Staunton, Va.; eight grandchildren, Katherine Lambertson, Karen Aubouy, Peter Aaslestad, Lauren Massey, Steve Wohn, Jennifer Williams, Christopher Wohn and Nick Wohn; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcolm and Frank; four sisters, Myrtle, Nell, Eleanor and Jo Hazel; and one daughter Barbara Nell Aaslestad of Staunton, Va., in 2000.

A Requiem Eucharist will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 in St. Mary's Episcopal Church by Fr. Francis Daunt and Fr. John Senette. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Friday at the church.

Henry Funeral Home Inc., of Staunton, Va., and Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin, La., are in charge of arrangements.
