THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, October 26, 2005.

Evelyn Marie Holle, 77, of McCallsburg, died Monday, Oct. 24, at Israel Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg. Burial will be in Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg.

Evelyn was born Aug. 26, 1928, in Garden City, the daughter of Benno and Agnes Schulenberg. She graduated high school in Blue Earth, Minn. She married Floyd A. Holle on Dec. 14, 1946, in Blue Earth, where they farmed and had dairy cattle. They moved to McCallsburg in 1956 and farmed west of town. She worked at Donnelley's in Nevada for many years and was also a homemaker, mom and grandma. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 334, where she held several offices.

She is survived by one son, Larry (Dorine) Holle of Adel; three daughters, Gail (Jim) Stecker of Gilbert, Kathryn Belieu of Des Moines and Yvonne (Harlan) Borton of McCallsburg; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one brother ,Chuck (Ruth) Schulenberg of Huntley, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; her parents, Benno and Agnes Schulenberg; one sister, Kay Beise of Mapleton, Minn.; and one brother, Leo Schulenberg of Hampstad, N.C.

Visitation with the family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is in charge of arrangements.
