DEATH MAKES TWO CALLS IN A WEEK
Martha Jorgenson and Mrs. Mona Monson Heed Final Summons
Death came to relieve the sufferings of Martha Jorgenson in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 17. She had suffered heart trouble for some time and as a cure seemed impossible she welcomed death as the ender of all earthly ills. She had been taking medical treatment in Minneapolis, but, growing worse, she came home about a month ago and loving hands did all in their power to mitigate the cruel pains of her last days.
Martha was the next to the youngest daughter of Mrs. Jacob Jorgenson, her father having died several years ago. She was 25 years old. Besides her mother, she is survived by her sisters, Mrs. W. E. Erickson, Mrs. K. S. Olson, Mrs. B. T. Holm, Annie and Ellen and her brothers, Albert, Martin and Herman Jorgenson, all of this neighborhood.
Funeral services were held in the St. Petri church Sunday afternoon. Rev. Vangsnes officiated and in his sermon called attention to the beauty and necessity of a young life consecrated to the service of the Lord. The deceased, he said, had led a pious life and this fact was her chief glory as well as the greatest balm for the aching hearts that survive her.
