C. N. PAULSON DIED LAST THURSDAY
Chris N. Paulson died at the Nevada sanitarium last Thursday evening, Nov. 12, after a long illness following a stroke nearly three years ago.
The funeral services were held in the Grace church at this place, with Rev. Davisson of Ames preaching the sermon and Rev. Orth assisting. Interment was in the local cemetery.
C. N. Paulson was born in Denmark Feb. 2, 1866, being baptized and confirmed in that country. With his parents he came to America when he was 13 years old, and the family settled in Hamilton county. In this neighborhood he grew to manhood and on July 3, 1895, he was married to Miss Annie Christiansen. In 1902 they moved to Lorimor, Ia., where they made their home until the fall of 1923, after Mr. Paulson had bee rendered practically helpless by a stroke.
The family home has been in Ames since moving from Lorimor. Before leaving Story City they had joined the Baptist church in Ames. At Lorimor they took an active part in the work of the church and when they moved back to Ames transferred their membership to that place.
Mr. Paulson leaves to mourn his death, his wife and son Richard, his mother, Mrs. S. M. Paulson, four brothers and four sisters, the latter being Peter, Nels, John and Henry, all of this place, Mrs. Reuillard of Maryville, Mo., Mrs. Wayman of Webster City, and Mrs. Hans Nelson and Miss Neah Paulson of this place.
