From Story City Herald March 1, 1923 (page 3)

MRS. ANNA LARSON

Anne Jensen Miller Larson* was born Sept. 16, 1850, in Denmark. With her parents she came to America in 1867, locating a mile south of Story City.

April 3rd, 1868, she was married to Andrew Larson, and he and her husband located on a farm which is now west of the Northwestern depot. Then in 1871 they moved to the farm in Section Six, near the Reischauer schoolhouse, which was their home for many years.

Nine children, five girls and four boys, came to bless the home. One girl, Belle, died in infancy. The other eight survive, namely: John Larson, Jewell; Hans Larson, Ringsted; Mrs. Sena Johnson, Mrs. Grace Reischauer, Nels P., Mrs. Marie Peterson, all of Story City; Mrs. Nettie Larson and Otto, of Winnebago, Minn.

The husband died April 17th, 1901.

Mrs. Larson and some of the children had made their home on the farm up to about four years ago, when she sold the place and has since made her home with her children.

On January 4th she was taken sick, and continued to get weaker because of the dreadful pains in her head, until Feb. 21, at ten o'clock in the forenoon, she passed away peacefully at the home of her son Nels. All of her children were present at her bedside, except Mrs. Johnson, who is in Texas, and Hans, who was not in good health.

Besides her sons and daughters she leaves to mourn her departure one brother, Andrew Miller of Jewell, and 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Larson was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and later with a number of her children she joined the Grace Evangelical church, under the pastorate of Rev. Smay, and she proved herself a faithful member to the end.

Mrs. Larson had in her long life show herself to be a sympathetic woman, a helpful wife and most affectionate mother. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her, and many had come to love her for her kindliness.

Servant of God, well done;
Thy glorious warfare's past,
The battle's fought, the race is won,
And thou are crowned at last.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Anna Marie Anderson was also known as Ane Mette Jensen Møller.
