Last Rites Held for Mrs. Kalseim Monday

Funeral services were held at the St. Petri church Monday for Mrs. Ann Kalseim who passed away Wednesday.

Rev. Ocee Johnson officiated at the services, both at the Kalseim home ana St. Petri church. A. E. Thompson of Blue Earth, Minn. spoke a the home and Mrs. Marjorie Kenny sang "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "The Lord's Prayer" at the church accompanied by Mrs. Alfred Jacobson. Rev. Tenner Thompson of Minneapolis gave a short talk at the church.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: William Kalseim, Robert Kalseim, Robert K. Kalseim, Ronald Kalseim, Dean Miller, Wayne Larson and Walter Phillops. Burial was in the local cemetery.

Obituary
Mrs. Anna Williams Kalseim, daughter of Rasmus and Julia Williams was born Feb. 10, 1861, in Mission township, LaSalle county, Ill. She passed away quietly while sitting on the porch at her home in Story City, June 10, 1953, at the age of 92 years and 4 months.

She was united in marriage to Gudmond A. Kalseim Feb. 23, 1886 and moved to their farm northwest of Story City. To this union nine children were born: Arthur E. of Jewell, Robert G. of Ames, Gertrude (Mrs. Theo Larson) of Story City, Alma (Mrs. Leonard Peterson of Des Moines, Effie of Palm Springs, Calif., Cornet of San Mateo, Calif., Gaylord G. of Highland Park, Ill., Vivian (Mrs. Miller) of Minneapolis, and May Mee (Mrs. Heinen) of San Mateo, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 30, 1919, and by three sisters and three brothers, and one grandson, Geo. Arthur Kalseim.

She is survived by 9 children, 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Johnson of Leland, Ill.

While on the farm, the Kalseim family were members of the Clear Lake and Ellsworth Lutheran church, northwest of Story City. In 1919 they moved to Story City and joined the St. Petri church of which she was a member until her death. She had been an active member of St. Petri ladies aid until the last few years.
