Huxley, April 10==Funeral services for Harry Tweedt, who passed away Friday at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, were held at the Palestine Lutheran church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon following a prayer service at the home at 1:30.The church was filled to its utmost capacity when relatives and friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to the deceased, who was so well know in the community.
The floral offerings which were very beautiful, were arranged by Mrs. W. R. Richardson, Mrs. Henry Larson, Mrs. Newtie Wee and Mrs. Milton Dobbe.
In addition to the flowers, there were many gifts to missions in his memory and several gifts directly to the family. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, showing every consideration to his family and other associates and friends.
Mrs. H. E. Jacobson and Miss Gladys Rullestad sang "Saved by Grace" as a duet with organ accompaniment by Miss Leona Brendeland, at the opening of the services and before the sermon they sang "Down as the Savior's Cross."
Rev. Jacobson chose for his text part of the 23rd chapter in the Gospel of Luke. Rev. Perry Sampson, a neighbor of the family, offered the closing prayer and Rev. and Mrs. Jacobson sang a duet, "God Will Take Care of You," at the conclusion of the services.
