YOUNG MAN TAKE LIFE

Walter Peterson of near here committed suicide Monday by hanging himself in a room in which he was being confined at the County Home, where he was being kept until taken to Clarinda.

The boy had been violent several times since commitment and it was necessary to put him in a straight-jacket. However, he broke out of the jacket on Monday afternoon and used parts of it to hang himself from a steam pipe near the ceiling of the room.

Walter was the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Peterson and was to have been taken to Clarinda on Tuesday.
