Funeral Service for Mrs. Walter Williams

Funeral services for Mrs. Walter Williams were held on Friday, Apr. 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church at Huxley with Pastor Marvin E. Nygaard officiating.

Ruth Lee, organist accompanied Stanley Sydnes when he sang "Rock of Ages" and "How Great Thou Art."

Pallbearers were Herbert Bennett, Homer Kalsem, Orville Hausken, Ralph Kalsem, Jay Kalssem and Clyde Hill.

Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery at Slater.

Obituary

Gladys Seda Williams was born in Huxley on Sept. 13, 1912 to parents Henry and Isabelle Hill. She was baptized in the Bethlehem Church at Slater and confirmed in the Lincoln Church at Huxley.

She married Walter Burnes Williams on Jan. 3, 1933. Twelve children were born to this union.

She was a member of Fjeldberg Lutheran Church. She died at Iowa Lutheran Hospital on Tuesday, April 1.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Walter; five daughters, Wahnita Lehman of Pleasant Hill, Sandra Banks, Linda Banks of Nevada, Judy Banks of Fernald, Vicki Williams of Des Moines, five sons, Herschel, Romain, Max and Terry of Huxley and Dennis of Madrid; three sisters, Hattie Kalsem, Pearl Lee, Ruth Hill of Huxley; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Milton and a daughter, Eileen Beth, her parents, one sister, Nettie Sydnes and four brothers, Barney, Clarence, Jerome and Milton.
