Last Rites Held for Thomas J. Seaboe

Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon for Thomas J. Seaboe, 85, of Huxley at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church there.

A family prayer service was held in the junior chapel of the church at 1:45 p. m., followed by services in the sanctuary at 2 o'clock.

Pastor M. Harold Rye conducted both services. He based his message on Psalms 29:2.

Mrs. Selmer Westvold was the soloist and sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Den Store Hvide Flok." She was accompanied by the organist, Mrs. Jacob G. Lee.

Pallbearers were Don Harmon, Joe Thompson, Ole Hanson, Tom Thompson, Eugene Thompson and Wallace Wicks.

Interment was in the Fjeldberg Cemetery, near Huxley.

Obituary

Thomas J. Seaboe was born on Feb. 20, 1874 in Polk County, Ia. and passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 1959 at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 16 days.

His parents were Tom and Ingeborg Seaboe.

On Mar. 17, 1934 he was united in marriage to Isabelle Johnson.

Mr. Seaboe was rural mail carrier for Huxley for 32 years, starting Dec. 1, 1906 and retiring Dec. 1, 1938.

Besides his wife, Isabelle, he is survived by two sisters--Mrs. Julia Opdahl of Ireton, Ia. and Mrs. Clara Holland of Radcliffe; three brothers--Richard, Gunder and Martin Thompson, all of Huxley; other relatives, and a host of friends.I
