Last Rites Held for Albert S. Miller, 59

Last rites for Albert S. Miller of Kelley were held Monday afternoon at the Riis Funeral Home in Slater at 1:30 and the Bethany Church in Kelley at 2 o'clock.

Pastor Leo O. Bjorlie was in charge and chose Eph. 2:4-10 as his text.

Lowelll and Glenn Accola sang a duet "No Shadows There." Glenn Accola sang "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Lowell Accola was the organist.

The floral tributes were arranged by Mrs. Orlin Nernes and Mrs. LeRoy Brendeland.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Miller, Marvin Miller, Robert Alleman, Richard Alleman, Richard Robinson and Tommie Erickson.

Obituary

Albert Sidney Miller, son of the late Albert and Hattie Miller, was born on a farm in Boone County, Ia. on Nov. 5, 1898, and passed away on June 20, 1958 at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames after a short illness at the age of 59 years, 7 months and 15 days.

He was baptized in the Garden Prairie Congregational Church where he was a faithful member during his youth.

On Dec. 21, 1926 he was married to Cora Erickson of Huxley, who survives him, together with one son, Ervin, and daughter-in-law, Helen, and two granddaughters, Jackie and Debbie; also three sisters, Alvis Miller of Madrid, Mrs. Zella Robinson of Boone and Mrs. Mabel Terry of Des Moines; one brother, Henry, of Ames, and a host of other relatives and friends.

"Tat," as he was affectionately known by all who knew him, had lived his entire life on the farm where he was born.

After their marriage they affiliated with the Bethany Lutheran Church at Kelley, where he was a faithful member and served as a trustee for several years.

He was deeply devoted to his home and family and they, as well as the whole community, mourn his sudden departure. Blessed be his memory.
