Military Services For Nels Bauge

Full military honors were given Nels Bauge, who died Saturday morning at the Soldiers home at Marshalltown, where he had lived since November. The last rites were held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Adams funeral home in Ames, with Rev. Harry Stoutland in charge and using the 90th Psalm as the basis for his talk.

Flowers and the flag draped the casket. The organist played familiar hymns as a prelude and processional. A number of memorial gifts were received for benevolence. Casket bearers were members of the Cambridge Legion, Milton Tesdall, Knute Bjelland, George Edwards, Frank Millestad, Frank Carmen and L. O. Langland. Burial was in the family lot at Palestine cemetery. The sergeant-at-arms and tap players were from the Ames 40 and 8, from which organization several were in attendance.
