Funeral Services For Barney Hill

Funeral services for Barney Hill were held at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church Monday afternoon at 2 p. m.

Rev. M. H. Rye was in charge of the services. John Lewis Berhow sang "It is Well With My Soul" and "The Old Rugged Cross." He was accompanied by Mary Lou Berhow.

Burial was in Fjeldberg cemetery.

Casket bearers were six nephews, Norris Sydnes, Clyde Hill, Wesley Hill, Wesley Hill, Homer Kalsem, Lester Floden and Oley Eide.

Obituary.

Barney Hill eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry hill, was born Mar. 2, 1887 at Huxley and passed away at his home on Friday evening Sept. 3 at the age of 67 years, following an illness of several months.

He was married to Minnie Eide on Dec, 8, 1909. To this union eight children were born, three of whom died in infancy. He is survived by his wife, Minnie; three sons, Omer of Des Moines, Alden of Rock Island, Ill., and Eugene of Topeka, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Adrian of Des Moines and Mrs. Harold Ness of Elkhart; two brothers, Clarence and Jerome of Huxley; five sisters, Mrs. Hattie Kalsem, Mrs. Nettie Sydnes, Mrs. Zelda Williams and Ruth Hill of Huxley and Mrs. Pearl Lee of Slater; and 10 grandchildren.
