Obituary.

Frederika, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Moeckley, was born Feb. 3, 1893, on a farm near Sheldahl, and passed to her eternal reward Thursday morning, June 10, thus attaining the age of 61 years, 4 months and 7 days.

The family later moved to a farm near Ankeny, where Rica spent her childhood and grew to womanhood, enjoying the privileges of home, school and church.

On Nov. 12, 1914, she was united in marriage with LeRoy Alleman, the vows being received by Rev. K. J. Ernst, then pastor of Salem E. and R. Church in Alleman, and soon thereafter she united with this church, remaining in good and regular standing here until the end of her life.

The new home was first established on the farm adjoining the Alleman Anne, then later removed to the home at the east edge of Alleman, where she resided to the end--a period of 40 years. Her life was always one of active, energetic toil, perhaps even to the extent of going beyond her strength, until about nine years ago, when her health began to fail. Recurring attacks of acute arthritis maimed her and some three years ago she had the misfortune to fracture a hip. From thence, amid much suffering, courageously borne, her health declined rapidly and she was many times hospitalized, but loving her home, she felt best there as an invalid, first under the care of her daughter, Lorene, and later under other care.

Rica loved life dearly and hoped to be well again, bearing her cross patiently and cheerfully, but God decreed otherwise and recalled His much-tested child to her heavenly home.

Surviving her are three children: Beatrice (Mrs. Telford Lodden) of Des Moines, Merville Alleman of Winterset and Lorene (Mrs. Raymond Williams) of Des Moines; two brothers, Floyd and George Moeckley of Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Goldie Hildreth of Elkhart; six grandchildren and other more distant relatives and a host of friends. May her memory be held in reverence.
