MRS. STANGLAND BURIED

Services at the Bethlehem Church on Thursday Afternoon--Buried at Slater.

The funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Belle Stangland, who recently passed away at her home in Minneapolis, took place from the Bethlehem church on Thursday afternoon of last week. Rev. Peder Bueland was in charge, addressing the audience in both Norwegian and English. Two duets, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," and "Heavenly Home," were sung by Mrs. A. L. Peterson and Mrs. M. S. Heggen. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Burial was made in the local cemetery. The pall bearers were Arne Twit, Clarence Walker, Everett Twit and James, LeRoy and Ole Nervig.

Belle Nervig Stangland was born in Iowa county, Wisconsin, October 11th, 1866, and died October 4, 1926, at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 7 days. She moved with her parents to Iowa in 1873. She was married to Christ Stangland in 1886. He preceded her in death thirteen years ago. Her early married life was spent in Slater. Later they moved to Minneota, Minn., where her husband died. Later she moved to Minneapolis, where she continued to live till death claimed her. Last spring she underwent an operation from which she never fully recovered.

She left to mourn her death two brothers, Amos Nervig of near Slater and Eric Nervig of Pukwana, South Dakota, and one sister, Mrs. R. E. Halverson of Slater. She is also mourned by a host of other relatives and friends.
