Obituary.

Lizzie Nelson, whose death was briefly mentioned in last week's issue, born on the 13th of May, 1891, attained an age a month and four days over sixteen years. While a child of three summers, she was left motherless and has since been cared for by her grandma at this place.* Lizzie was one of the most popular girls in the local schools and admired by all who made her acquaintance and will greatly be missed by her many friends. She leaves to mourn her loss, a father, step-mother, three half sisters, a half brother, two grandmothers, eight uncles and three aunts. Six of her classmates acted as pall bearers.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The mother of Lizzie Nelson was Anna (Raynes) Nelson who died 7 April 1895. In the 1900 Palestine Township, Story County, Iowa census, Lizzie Nelson is living with her grandparents, Tomas and Leasabet Nelson. Her father, Henry Cornelius Nelson, remarried Myrtle May Bates 2 March 1898 in Cambridge, Story County, Iowa.
