Services Today for Mrs. Emma Stauffer

SHELDAHL--Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Stauffer will be held this afternoon (Thursday) at 2:30 at the State Street Evangelical and United Brethren Church in Marshalltown. Mrs. Stauffer passed away Monday morning at the Deaconess Hospital in that city, where she had been a patient following a stroke and heart attack suffered Feb. 18.

The daughter of Margaret and Chas. A. Buche, she was born June 29, 1881, at Crocker, Ia. She was united in marriage to John J. Stauffer in 1901 at Hampton, Ia. To this union was born eight children: Tiny, who died in infancy; Orrie D. of Sheldahl; Harvey of Marshalltown; Hazel Muehlenhaupt of Dubuque; Rev. DeWitt of Sutherland, Neb.; Monnie of Sheldahl; Ruth Bingaman of Montour, and Pearl of Marshalltown. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren. Other survivotrs are a sister Mattie (Mrs. Henry) Peterson of Ames, brothers Fred of Clear Lake, Will of Ames, Irvin of Denver, Colo., and Albert, John and Louis of Madrid.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away Jan. 25, 1945; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. A. Buche, and one brother, Carl.

Interement will be in Riverside Cemetery at Marshalltown.
