MRS. SYDNES WAS BURIED MONDAY

Mrs. Reinert Sydnes passed away early Thursday morning of last week, the 2nd, after a lengthy illness at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Johnson. Funeral took place Monday from the Johnson home at 12:30 p. m. and the Lincoln church at Huxley at 1:30. The services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. P. O. Wee. Burial was made in the family lot in the Lincoln cemetery north of Huxley where her aged husband had been laid to rest three months ago. A large crowd was in attendance at the last sad rites.

Deceased had reached her 78th birthday last July, the 4th, and had been making Huxley her home. Following the death of her husband she came out to visit her children residing in Slater. While here she took sick and became bedfast at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Johnson. She remained bedfast and was never able again to return to the home which she had left at Huxley. She continued to fail and her death on Thursday morning did not come unexpectedly. She leaves to mourn her death four sons and four daughters. They are Johnie of Turlock, California, and Nels, Cyrus and Severt who reside in this vicinity and daughters, Mrs. B. C. Dueland and Mrs. A. A. Johnson of this place, Mrs. Jacob Floden of Swea City and Mrs. William Olson of Turlock, California.

Mrs. Sydnes was a member of the Lincoln church. She was a devout christian whose life and living was in keeping with that which she held dear and treasured--christian fidelity.
